What you see before you is the beginning of a dream, or should I say the realisation of one. This is a picture of the headstock of an old Royalist bass guitar neck. Now imagine if you can, your mind's eye pans down the neck of this bass admiring the condition of the wood and the frets. You ponder the beauty of the inlays, the contrast they provide to the dark rosewood fretboard. you count 20 frets and imagine the rich melodies they have produced, the thousands of lines that have been played and will yet be played. But wait, what is this, does this beautiful picture end in your mind at the heel of this neck. Contemplate the four bolt holes that once connected this neck to an archtop bass, now imagine the possibilities. They are endless.
I'm thinking semi hollow body.
